Reflecting back on the beginning of this project and portfolio class, I have gained a bit of confidence and evolving more as an Audio Engineer. I have learned to utilize what I have learned and exercise my ideas within the Logic program.
Coming in to this class, I some what had prior knowledge of the terms of audio production. The meter basically being the length of music being played. Tempo being how fast the music is playing. Structure matters. Keeping sounds organized. Rhythm and base keeps the groove of it all.
Learning about the keys of music was interesting. Learning that all notes don't go well together, they have to be within the same key to be played in harmony. Which is when the notes play well together. Melody sets the feel to the music.
It was a bit challenging but still exciting all at once. Hearing myself through the microphone takes some getting use to. With consistency it will all become easy. Even though it can be frustrating at times, in time I know I will get better.
Mixing and processing the sounds will take more than this class to get use to. I tried to make what sounds right to me. I added some phasing on my vocals of Track 9, reverb and compression on my Track 1 and 3. Finally, a light mix just to keep sounds from clipping.
